Jack Augsback
I am searching for long lost half-sister. My sister and I have searched
endlessly for this person who resided in Vallejo with our father, Paul
Augsback, from 1954 (?) to possibly 1960. Her name at that time was
Charlotte Augsback, probably born around 1950-51; hence, she would have
attended public elementary school in Vallejo, grades 1-5. She has moved,
married and divorced, and now lives in L.A. somewhere. I am trying to
possibly locate her or her mother, Gladys, who also lived as Augsback in
Vallejo at that time. If I can ever find an exact date of birth or social
security number, we can then use the DMV to locate her through her drivers
license.

I am looking for information on Ada B. LOOMIS and Frank LOOMIS, cousins
to my ggrandmother, Alice MARSHALL Easley(1857). Alice was living in
Tamora, Seward Co., NE, in 1888 and 89. I have a letter to Alice from Ada
dated 8-13-1889. She mentions her brother, Frank; Charley living in
Brechin, Ontario; a letter from cousin Emma Reichlein (may be married
name), and that Harvey Cooper may be coming to CA. Alice also had a
cousin, S.G. Johnson, of Kent Co., Ada, MI, who wrote about leaving
Chicago in June, 1887; Ross; and Uncle Charles and Aunt Mattie.

I cannot find the Solano County Jail in the 1900 Federal Census. I have
read the microfilm from end to end but the jail isn't there. It should be
in with the Fairfield section but I read the whole film just to be sure.
There are other institutions (hospitals, etc.) but nothing for the jail.
Does anyone know if the jail was somehow left out, records lost before
they could be microfilmed, etc? I can get along without the information
but I'd like to know whether the records exist or not. The guy I'm looking
for, John L. OWENS of Healdsburg, Sonoma County, was being held for trial
on a charge of murdering Daniel WILSON of Suisun Valley. OWENS does not
appear in the 1900 Soundex either, making me suspect that the jail was
missed or the records lost. Newspaper articles of the time strongly imply
that the jail was in Fairfield, close to the county courthouse. P.S.:
OWENS was sent to Folsom Prison for life!
