The Solano County Archives is a repository for historical records of Solano County. It is staffed solely by volunteers
under the auspices of the Solano County Historical Records Commission.
They hold the original County records of:

The Archives are open to the public and requests for information may be made in person, by mail or email.

They have friendly volunteers who are happy to assist you in any way possible, but they can provide you with more efficient
service if some preparation is done prior to placing your request. Knowing what type of records you are looking for,
approximate dates, names or locations will help them speed up their search. With records dating back to the 1840s and
volunteers eager to assist you, your research here is sure to be both enjoyable and rewarding.
For anyone visiting the Archives please be aware that the storage area is not open to the public. All records
you request will be retrieved and brought to you by volunteer staff. Only Pencils are allowed in the vicinity of any of the
records and the viewer must handle all documents with extreme care. Copies cost 60 cents each.
