I would like to hear from anyone who has knowledge of Lafon K. McKENZIE, who died 16 March 1992 in San Diego, Co. His death record listed O.H. McKENZIE, as spouse. He was the son-in-law of Les & Leola BARD, of San Diego. (per Leola's death certificate). Leola's maiden name was Leola ROSE, and she was b. in Cass Co., Texas. I am searching for my birthparents. I was born 22 Feb 1944 in Mercy Hospital. My birth mother was from Minnesota, and came to live with her sister in San Diego during the pregnancy. The attending doctor was Dr. R. Peck, who arranged the adoption.

I would like to find any information about Apolinaria OJEDA who came from San Jose del Cabo, Mexico on the steamship St. Dennis in 1905 as a travelling companion to a daughter of the VILLAGRANA family. She married Aurelio VILLA in San Diego and died in 1972. I would like to find out any historical background about the ship, or the family she came her with. Any clues are greatly appreciated.

I would appreciate any information on the BARTON family. My mother, Marilyn J. (GREEN) BARTON disappeared when in 1969 when I was 7 and I lost contact with my maternal grandparents who I last remembered lived in the San Diego area, near the airport as far as I can recollect. I am looking for information on Eli C. BECKNER who shows up in the San Diego Census of 1920 residing at 1157 First Street, from what I've come to understand is a boarding house and the location is the present location of the San Diego County Court House. With Eli was his daughter Santrillo McMULLEN, who was indicated as the head of the household,with them were Carl BLACKMAR age 16 and Alice F. BLACKMAR, who was indicated as Santrillo's children. I have found Eli's death date as March 3, 1924. What I am looking for is where his daughter Santrillo and her children may have migrated to.

Searching for descendants of Bob and Adelaide (Adeline?) SMITH. Bob SMITH was a WWII Navy buddy of my father, I believe that he died in the late 40s or 50s. The couple had two girls and maybe a boy. The family lived in San Diego at least up through the late 1960s. My father was an amateur photographer and I have pictures of Adelaide and the two girls (one of whom was named Wanda--after my grandmother) that I would like to give to the family.

Looking for decendants of Jessie TOBIN originally from Wisconsin. She was married but I don't know her last name. She 3 daughters Florence ?, Dorothy GRIFFITH and Jacqueline B. BRYANT whose last known address was in Hemet Ca. in 1992. Her sister Dorothy GRIFFITH last known address was Badfish, CA but that was 1985. They writing cards to my grandmother, their aunt, Clara TOBIN. She just died a couple of weeks ago at age 98. I'm trying to find info on the TOBIN family. Jessie had several brothers, one my grandfather, but all have died and no other decendants that I know of. Jessies father name was William TOBIN and her mother name Elizabeth.

I have just found my elusive uncle in the CADI. I have virtually no information on him except his birthdate and who his parents were. I would very much like to find an obituary to gain some vital information about him and his family. His name was Lebrecht Waldemar ZOCHERT, died in San Diego County on 12 Feb 1950. He must have been a long time resident of SDC because he was last known to have gone to La Mesa, outside of San Diego in 1905. He was a medical doctor. Is there anyway you might look up a death notice and obituary in the La Mesa or San Diego newspaper from Feb 1950 for me?
