Looking for my gg grandfather, Otis Leroy REEDY. Born 1877, Ross Co.,
Ohio, died 1966 in San Ysidro, San Diego, CA. He left Iowa in 1906 never
to return and had been in CA 6 yrs. at time of his death. Does anyone
know him? He was married to Sarah ?, Russian born, who died in 1968
in San Diego. They are both buried in unmarked graves in Hope Cemetery
in San Diego. Anyone know of them? Would like to find out more.

1912 and 1920. Ernest was born Jan 1868 and emigrated from Oland, Sweden.

1900), Mildred Ruth(abt1906), Ferdinand E.(abt 1907), Leonard C.(abt
1910)&Shirley P.(abt 1912). In San Diego, they lived on a farm on Magnolia
Ave where Ernest was a farmer. Ernest also had 2 sisters that eventually

1801 on frontier of Baja California and Alta California. He married
Joanna Canisares and had at least one son, Manuel Castro who settled
in Sacramento in 1859. Manuel married Gustella Paz, of Baja California
March 19, 1860 in Sacramento. Francisco was a pilot for ships that sailed
from San Blas>San Diego>Santa Clara>San Francisco. Any information

I am trying to locate any information on Tharan Lanier who lived and
was married in the San Diego area in March of 1920. He was divorced
within 2 years and for all intents and purposes disappeared. He would
be my grandfather, and my father has since passed away. This Tharan
was the issue of Tharan Laner and Mabel Hickman on March 16, 1919, they
did not marry until 1920. The first Tharan was supposed to have been
born in Lynchburg Virginia in the late 1800's. The search of census
records in Richmond Virginia turned up no record.

of both murders by "reason of insantiy" in records filed 02/13/13.
In court records filed 02/19/13 , "we the jury ... do find that
the said Hubert Lewis is now sane." He and wife departed San Diego
for Los Angeles shortly thereafter. Have been unable to find any further
record of the Lewis'. Any further information on the Lewis's or where
the Toliver's real property (including his airship) was disposed of
would be greatly appreciated.

Trying to research an extended family that includes step-children etc.
which is new and quite a challenge to the genealogy research. I am trying
to find out the year Gina Lee Ann Smith was divorced and from who. I
believe her married name was Hayes and that she took her maiden name
back again after the divorce. The approximate time frame was 1988-1990
that the divorce was finalized. I also need to know if Gina remarried
within the past 3 to 4 years. I know that she delivered another child
but I do not know the status of her marriage as a result of that child.

I am searching for my mother's half sister. She was born Teresa Inez
Belk on 3/21/1955 in either San Diego County or Los Angeles County,
CA. Her mother's name was Carol Jane Reynolds. Teresa may have gone
by the name Reynolds or even another last name. This is a long shot
for us, but my mother grew up an only child and it has only recently
come to light the fact that she had half siblings. We have located two

For a history of Rancho Bernardo and environs , I am trying to find
information on Capt. Joseph Sevenoaks, a British naval officer who acquired
Mexican citizenship and thus received land grants in the area in 1842
and 1845. (A neighborhood of Rancho Bernardo, Seven Oaks, is named after
him.) I am curious to know if there is information on his activities
during the U.S.-Mexican war, and if he sided with the Californios against
U.S. troops. I know that his widow sold the land in the 1860s, but that's

I never forget the story my grand father told me: His cousin, Anders
(Andrew) Haugen, born in Norway 1888. He just disappeared in the 1920-1930,
and nobody heard from him ever since. He was searched thru the Salvation
Army, but never found. I have searched him on the Internet, and two
years ago I came across one person, who found some info for me, see
below. Two weeks ago I found a letter from Andrew Haugen's wife. The
letter (dated 5/15/1971, sent by R.J. Magee, 829 Tangiers Court, San
Diego, CA 92109)arrived some months after my grandfather died. The letter
begins; "To whom it may concern"! If there is anyone in Andy's
family who write English, I would like to hear from them. It ends: If
someone answers this, I will fill in the details. Summary of my resurch:
- Anders joined the Military Army 1918 in Montana - He married Irene
E. Bennett who also joined the Military Army (june 1918 in Montana,
25 years old) - Andres died April 13, 1969 - Step daughter Luella Magee
- Residence 833 Tangiers Court, San Diego - Lived in San Diego for 40
years It has not been possible to verify his first mariage. So far it
has been impossible to find any realtives, but a lady, Hilary Harlene
Haugen, her relation to the family is unknown. She will not, or cannnot,
tell me. 833 Tangiers Court, San Diego does not exsist anymore. I hope

13 July, 1999 I have recently found out that my mother June V. Thompson
died November 23, 1985 in Oceanside, California. Her last known address
was 155 69 South Las Flores which was either Vista or San Marcos, California.
She left our family here in Illinois without a word and I had tried
tracking her down for several years without success. Per the Death Index
Registry I know that she died on the above date and is buried in San

to say which paper and in which year? From my records I believe Mrs
C.W. Arnot was Ella F. Davis, she married Cephas W. Arnot. Mrs. C.W.
Arnot Friends in this city will be grieved to learn of the death of
Mrs. C.W. Arnot, which occurred in San Diego, Calif., July 11th, after
about a year's illness. Mrs. Arnot will be remembered as one of the
old residents of Croswell, where Mr. Arnot was in business for many
years. Before going west Mr. and Mrs. Arnot spent seven years in Mt.
Clemens, Michigan. After living two years in Tacoma, Wash., they moved
to San diego, Calif., where they have since made their home. Mrs. Arnot
had enjoyed the best of health up to about a year ago, and had been
an active worker in the maccabees and Eastern Star. It is about twenty
years since Mr. and Mrs. Arnot left Croswell, thirteen of which have
been spent in San Diego. Mrs. Arnot is survived by her husband, C.W.
Arnot; five daughters, Mrs. C.B. Haracker, San Diego; Mrs. Geo. Kirby,

I am trying to find information about William F. LOGAN, who was living
in San Diego in 1940. He would have been 55 that year, since he was
born in Rutherford County, North Carolina in 1875. I think he was a
veteran of the Spanish American War [1898], serving in the N. Dakota
Division 8. The only other clue I have about him is that he is said
to have been the "conservative mayor of a small California town,"
but I don't know what town or when. My guess is that it was a town in

1878. She was his second wife and was born in 1861 in Indiana. Levi
was born in 1835 in Webster, N.Y. Their children were: Leva BILLINGS,

I am looking for any informatioin on my grandfather and his parents.
My grandfather was born March 9,1895,in Wilson Creek, near Sage Ca,
San Diego county. His father was Charles Richard Bowlden, mother was
Lizzie Deming. We know that Lizzie was born in Wisconsin married Charles
there and moved out here, stopping in Salt Lake City, Utah on their
way here. I have also heard that Lizzie possibably had a brother here
named BB Or Ben Deming.

I have been trying to locate information regarding my grandfather. His
name was Earl Truman Bowlden, born March,9,1895 in Wilson Creek,San
Diego(Sage,California). His father was Charles Richard Bowlden his mother

father was born. O n the delayed birth certificate it says Sage is near

I am trying to find information on my family from my mothers side. My
mother was born June Renee FARMER to Edna FARMER/SIMONSON. I believe
she was born in International Falls Minnesota. She has three brothers:
David FARMER, Leroy FARMER, and Jimmy FARMER. She had two sisters one
died at age five Patty Jo FARMER, the other died approximately five
years ago; Rosemarie FARMER/JOHNSON. Rosemarie last lived in Warroad
Minnesota. David still lives in International Falls Minnesota. I would

biological father of June Renee FARMER/BELCHER/TRACEY/DUNCAN. If possible

Albert Morgan FINDLEY lived at 2897 Ridgeway Dr, National City, SAN
DIEGO CO., CA., from 1961 to his death March 15, 1970. Albert join the
Army in 1941 and was never heard from again. Listed as missing in action
in WWII the family presumed him dead. After getting his service record
and death certificate I find he married Florence SIMPSON who d. betweeen
1962 - 1964 in SAN DIEGO CO., CA. I am searching for any children of

Seeking living descendants of John Angus JOHNSON and Maud Augusta BURNS.
John born 23 Oct 1863, Santaquin, UT; died 28 Aug 1914 in San Diego.
Maud born 8 Jul 1866 in Alabama; died 8 Jan 1912 in San Diego. They
moved to San Diego in 1907 with 8 of their 10 sons born from 1885 to
1903. Have no picture of Maud. No connect with any of the 7 sons who
remained in San Diego. Jennings returned to Mesa, AZ and married Ione

Adrian Leslie SMITH died in San Diego sometime between 1942-1950. He

was born 28 May 1844 in Athens, Menard County, Illinois. She married
Amos Lockwood CARMAN 02 June 1862 in Fulton County, Illinois - and moved
to Nebraska. Amos Lockwood died 28 August 1881, and she married Henry
SAPP on 02 October 1882. Henry and Emily relocated to San Marcos, California.

Looking for descendants of Aqullia Cochran and Catherine Serves form
Clermont County, OH who settled in San Diego, CA prior between 1880
and 1950. Here is the limited info that I know about the CA line of
the famly. When my gg grandfather Harry Cochran passed away in 1951,
the family received a letter from a neice of Harry's, Ollie Cochran
(not sure if she was married at this time) from California. The letter,
dated Aug. 28, 1951 expressed sympathy on the death of Harry. In the
letter she stated that she phoned Lawrence and other family in San Diego,
CA. Harry 1868-1951 was the son of Aquilla Cochran 1829-1887 and Caterhine
Serves 1824-1876 both died in Clermont County, OH. Harry's siblings
included: step sister Huldah (Myrick) Cochran 1847-? wife of Joseph
Donley brother William Cochran 1853-? sister Olive "Ollie"
Cochran 1856-? wife of Charles Donnelly sister Belle Cochran 1859-?
wife of J. M. Powers sister Carrie Cochran 1861-1862 brother Charles
Cochran 1863-? Who were the parents of Ollie from CA? Her father could
have been either William or Charles. Charles was still living in OH
as of 1880 with his step sister Hulda. I have been unable to find any
info on Charles in OH in 1880. Did either Charles or William move to
CA - when and where? Where was Ollie living in CA - was it San Diego
or somewhere else? Can you find any info on this Ollie? I have no dates
for birth, marriage or death on her. Was Lawrence of San Diego a brother
of Ollie from CA? Can you find any info on this Lawrence in San Diego?

I am trying to locate James W. (Jim) BISHOP, born about 1874-75 probably
in Dyer Co TN. Died sometime around 1937. Parents James M. and Sarah
C. BISHOP died around Ft. Smith AK enroute to TX while taking family
there to live. Brothers, William and Walter Paigem maybe John, sister
Alice. Jim was in TN in 1898 but he became a policeman in California,
think it was San Diego, probably by about 1900. I have seen a picture
of him in uniform, very like Keystone Kops style. He had two or three
children. Believe they were Odie, Fanny, and Jim. Young Jim's wife was
Ora, his daughter Margaret. Fanny married a man named BROWN and lived
in IL. James W. Bishop was my grandfather's brother and I would like
very much to locate someone in his family for research purposes.
