Genealogical and Historical Organizations

	The Grass Roots Genealogy Group -- Meets each Tuesday at the LDS Church, 615 Hollow Way, Nevada City from 9:30 -11:00 AM. Informal group discussions. Guest speakers occasionally invited. No dues. Open to anyone interested in genealogy. There is no web link for this group.
	Nevada County Genealogical Society -- Meets from 6:30 to approx. 8:30 P.M. the second Tuesday of every month in the Community Room of the Nevada County Library, 980 Helling Way, Nevada City, CA. (near Maidu Ave.) Dues are $15.00 per calendar year annually. Membership includes an eight page newsletter. For a fee, an annual seminar, usually the 4th Saturday in August "Digging for Your Roots" is held. This group is registered as a non-profit organization. 	Nevada County Historical Society --Meets at 7:00 P.M. the 3rd Thursday of the month normally at the Madelyn Helling Library community meeting room unless it is a holiday schedule.
