Looking for relations of John Wesley Straight b.1855 WI and came to California with his mother, Jane T. born NY, brother Leroy S. born 1852 WI and grandmother Nancy Kenyon b. RI. Was living in Lincoln, Placer County in 1880. When and where did Jane Straight die? John Wesely moved to Nevada County by mid 1880s. After 1910 moved to So. California and died in San Bernardino County April 5, 1922, buried in City Cemetery. Looking for relations of Victoria Burdick/Burdix. Last known to live in El Centro or Redlands, CA. | 10/31/04 |

NINNIS |
Thomas and Maria NINNIS family. The 1900, 1910 & 1920 census records show the family living on Gethsemane Street. Both Thomas and Maria were born in England. They had daughters Beatrice and Geneva Irene. Geneva was born 22 February 1899, and baptised 7 April 1901. Her baptism record is nicely framed and for sale in a Grass Valley antique store. I hope someone out there is interested in this family. Please contact me for further information.

Looking for information on the children of Peter and Ellen Russell, early pioneers of Camptonville. Family members lived in Yuba, Sierra and Nevada County. Children were Alma, Carlotta (Lottie), William and Thomas. Another daughter, Sarah E. died Feb 3, 1880 age 15. Ellen was an early pioneer of California settled in Camptonville in 1854. GRANT, COOMBS |
Seeking any information concerning George and Triphosa (COOMBS) GRANT. George was born in Indiana about 1822. He enlisted from New Harmony in 1847 and served in the Mexican War as a Sergeant in Co. D, 16th U.S. Infantry. He married "Phosa" in Posey County, Indiana on February 21, 1852, and the couple moved to Nevada County that spring. George was a gold miner and later a ditch agent. Their children included Elizabeth, Mary, William, and John C. They lived primarily in Rough and Ready Township. George died circa 1897, and Phosa lived with her youngest son (and brother, John COOMBS) in Rough and Ready Township in 1900. | 3/20/05 |

Looking for relatives and information about my Gr. Grandparents Eusebius POLLARD (B 14 Jul 1839) and his wife Mary Ann nee BAWDEN (B 30 Mar 1835). They married in Grass Valley September 30,1866. He arrived 5 years before she and she arrived in 1866. Both were born in Truro, Cornwall UK.He worked as a miner in Grass Valley until about 1870 when they migrated with there infant daughter Cecelia to Los Angeles Co. where I found them near San Marino.
