Oral History by Ed Tyson

(Return to Biography title page)
-----------

This is an experimental web page: This is a video file recorded in the last days of Edwin Tyson.
(A revered historian in Nevada City for many years. He became synonomous with the "Searls Library" to the extent that tourists sometimes assumed he was the "old Mr. Searls") Ed passed away at age 92 in February 2010 shortly after recording this video oral history. He was much respected and beloved."

This is a 114 MB MP4 video file. It was created with very old video technology. I am placing a link to it here just to find out who can view it--and how much trouble they have loading and watching it.

Here is a brief : transcript (PDF)

Here are four links--Parts 1 to 4 of the video.
Part 1   Part 2   Part 3   Part 4

If you have the resources, here is the whole video.

I am happy to hear any technical suggestions. So email if you find this project of interest. Webmaster
