Philip Rosales

Philip James Rosales, 84, of 1260 First St. Monterey, died Saturday in a local convalescent hospital after a period of failing health.

A native of Monterey he was born May 26, 1888, and worked for the city of Monterey, in the maintenance department, for 30 years before his retirement.

He was a vetern of World War I.

Mr. Rosales' wife Flora, died on July 13. He is survived by a son, Clarence of Seaside; four brothers, Anthony and Thomas of Monterey, Christopher of San Francisco and Edward of Sunnyvale; two sisters, Mrs. Jaunita Bierman and Mrs. Florence Bruno, both of Monterey; two grandchildren, Joseph of Sonora and Carolyn of Lakehurst NJ; and two great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the Chapel of San Carlos Cemetery, with entombment following.
