Patricia S. Brunor

Patricia Shaw Brunor, 72, a former resident of Monterey, died of a heart attack Saturday at Mercy General Hospital in Sacramento.

She was born June 6 1922, in Monterey. Her maternal great-grandmother, Jacinta was a housekeeper for Robert Louis Stevenson, and her maternal great-grand father, Pierre Artellan, was Monterey's first baker, according to the family.

Mrs. Brunor attended old Monterey Grammar School on Pacific Street and was a 1941 graduate of Monterey Union High School. Her late husband Richard landed the first P-38 and jet airplanes at the Monterey Airport when he was in the Air Force during the 1940's.

She is survived by three daughters, Barbara Drew of San Francisco, Patsy Shaw of Tacoma Wash., and Bonnie Briggs of Orangevale; three sisters, Maymie Andrews of Seaside, Harriet Vandecaveye of Salinas, and Doloras McCormick of Monterey; and six grandchildren. Her son, Bill died in 1990.

At her request no services will be held. The Neptune Society is in charge of arrangements.

The family suggests that any memorial contributions be sent to the donor's favorite charity.
