Researching my paternal family. Giovanni Battista SEMORILE settled in Hornitos around 1860. He worked for D. Ghiradelli Company then opened his own store. He lived in Indian Gulch and had a store there as well. My ggrandfather, Lorenzo SEMORILE, was postmaster of Indian Gulch, 1879-1884. A brother, Bartolomeo SEMORILE may also have been a storekeeper in Indian Gulch. I am interested in infor on Indian Gulch and Toledo (or Tolito).

SURNAMES: RIDGWAY, STINER, VAN GORDEN
I am trying to find a death date for Ann M. Ridgway
and location of her burial. It is believed that she died in August 1903.
She was married to Jarret Ridgway. The family arrived in Mariposa in 1849
from Texas. Their daughter, Elizabeth Ann married Calvin Stiner. The daughter
of that union, Hannah Anna, married George Van Gorden.
UPDATE:I am researching the Trabucco family , although only a collateral line for me I'm quite interested in this family . Louis Trabucco came to Mariposa from Italy in 1851 , was a successful miner and opened up stores in the Bear Valley area. Interested in corresponding and sharing with any of the descendants of this family.
I'm researching the ASHWORTH,WASS,PHILLIPS surnames in Mariposa county and would like to connect to any that are researching these surnames.I'm a great grandson of Carl Reuben PHILLIPS .
