| Alexander Sutter Allen was
supposedly the first Caucasian child born in Amador County, born near Sutter's Creek on
October 15, 1852. Alexander died in Glennville, California on January 5, 1904. Alexander
was the second child of Mary Jane Plummer and Hiram Lewis Allen their first born having
died during the wagon trip from Arkansas and buried somewhere in the Rocky
