Services Are Held Here Yesterday for Oscar Roy Taylor
Oscar Roy Taylor, 48, 255 Adeline Street, died at a local hospital at about 4:10 Sunday morning following a sudden illness. Final services were held from the Owen Funeral Chapel yesterday afternoon at two o;clock with Bishop Grant Poulsen officiating. Interment was in Lassen Cemetery.
Solos were sung by Reed Davis, accompanied at the organ by Virginia Poulsen. Pallbearers were C. Karasek, Sam Potter, Earl D. Keele, Earl Shy, J.M. Gottfredson and E.M. Vance.
The deceased was a native of Canada but a U.S. citizen. He was a veteran of two world wars. He was a proprietor of Roy’s-Fix-It Shop and local representative of the Railway Express Agency.
Surviving are his wife, Marjorie, one son, Ronald, three daughters, Lavona K., Darlene Ann and Mrs. Janice Lyons, all of Susanville, and one brother, Warren Taylor, West Los Angeles.
The services were in charge of the Owen Funeral Directors.
