Tuesday, March 19, 1940


Bertha Barns, 31, passed away in Riverside Hospital Saturday noon of burns received in her home in Dixie Valley, Tuesday.

The body was removed to Hat Creek where Indian funeral services were conducted today in the Indian Cemetery.

Coroner .W. Morrill investigated the death Monday and found the lady while alone had fallen into a camp fire and received first and second degree burns which resulted in her death three days later.
