Beloved Mother Called by Death Sun. Morning

Death came to Mrs. Emma Iona Edenholm, 44, Sunday morning at the Riverside Hospital at 5:22 o'clock after a lingering illness.
She was the wife of the late David Edenholm, a mortician in Susanville for 14 years, and Coroner and Public Administrator of Lassen County for 18 years.
Mrs. Edenholm was born in Longview, Washington, coming to Lassen county 24 years ago, she resided in Westwood for 12 years where she was employed as Cashier in the Red River Lumber Company's store. Here she met David Edenholm, manager of the men's furnishing department, and they were married January 1, 1917.
Mrs. Edenholm was very active in lodge work, being Past Royal Marton of Court of Amaranth, Honey Lake Court No. 1, and also a member of the Hesperian Chapter Order of Eastern Star No. 112. She was active in church work and a member of the Ladies Aid of the Methodist Church.
Mrs. Edenholm had been residing for the past year and half in Eugene, Oregon to be with her son Richard, who is attending the University of Oregon. Both she and her son came here a week before Easter to spend the Easter holidays with her sister-in-law Mrs. Alfred Anderson and family of 707 Union street. She had been here only a week before she was taken to the hospital.
Besides her son, Richard, the deceased is survived by her mother, Mrs. Sarah Derrick, three brothers, Charles, George, and Lyman Derrick, all residents of Oregon.
The passing of Mrs. Edenholm brings a close the life of a woman dearly loved by her many friends both in Susanville and Westwood.
The funeral took place at 2 p.m. this afternoon from the Methodist Church. She was laid to rest in the Susanville Cemetery beside her husband who proceded her in death by almost three years. Rev. R.G. Green officiated. the pallbearers included J.A. Pardee, Gus Bishop, Claude Hunter, F.O. Wemple, E.P. Honsberger, J. Baker McQueen.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Morrill Mortuary.
