Hiram Emmett Barton Is Dead At Shingle Springs

Hiram Emmett Barton, widely known thoughout El Dorado County and the son of former Supervisor Hiram Barton, who died several years ago, passed away early Thursday morning at his home at Shingle Springs. He had been failing in health of several months.

He was about 60 years old and had spent the greater part of his life in El Dorado County. He was a brother-in-law of Supervisor John Russi of Sacramento county.

Surviving are the widow, a daughter and two sons, and five brothers.

Funeral services will be at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at his late residence in Shingle Springs and burial will be in the Masonic cemetery, Folsom.

He was a member of Hiram Lodge No. 43, F. & A. M., of the Eagles, Odd Fellows and Native Sons of the Golden West and Fallen Leaf Chapter, O. E. S
