James RICHARDS, son of James Stephen Richards and Jennie McKenna was born in Placerville 24 May 1881.
Funeral services will be held Monday for James Richards of San Anselmo, who died yesterday in a local hospital after a long illness. He was 76.
Richards made his home with a daughter, Mrs. Irma Kelleher, at 104 Laurel Avenue in San Anselmo.
He was a retired salesman for a large drapery and floor covering firm in San Francisco. Before coming to Marin 31 years ago, Richards was a miner in his native Placerville.
Besides his daughter, he is survived by a son, James D. Richards of Irvington.
Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. at the Chapel of the Hills, San Anselmo. Interment will be at Mt. Tamalpais Cemetery.
