East Bay Genealogical Society Library
located at Financial Building-Terrace Level, 405 14th Street (at Franklin), Oakland, CA.
Open Monday 9 AM to 4 PM & Wednesday 9 AM to noon. By special agreement between EBGS and the Society of Mayflower Descendants, the collection is kept in the SMD library. Use of the library collection is free, although donations to the SMD for the support of the facilities are welcomed.

Livermore-Amador Genealogical Society Library
Their library is located at Pleasanton Public Library

L-AGS has acquired a large collection of Family Tree Maker CDs along with their other holdings.

Oakland Public Library, Main Branch
The Oakland Library, with its Newspaper Room and Oakland History Room, is a great source of information on Oakland and parts of Alameda County. It is open every day, and some evenings (you should call for hours for specific days).
